Policy and Procedures

In between sessions, I will be available via email only unless otherwise arranged with the client or family. In the event of an emergency, please call your local crisis service or 911. Please see the resources page for local supports and telephone lines.

Payment is due on the day of your counselling session.

I accept Visa, Mastercard, Debit or E-transfer. No cash is accepted. Pricing is $115 per session. Fees for additional time such as paperwork, letters, out of session phone calls or meetings are subject to an hourly rate ranging from $30-$75, however this will always be discussed before hand. 

Each referral will have the opportunity for a free 15 minute meet and greet via Microsoft Teams or in person to see if I am the best fit for you.

Clients who pay via E-transfer must pay before the allotted session time. Failing to pay the fee on time may result in forfeiture of their session and any future sessions, or an on-going requirement to pay before session moving forward.

There will be a flat rate fee of $10 that will be added to your invoice if payment is not received 24 hours after your session. This fee will not be covered by insurance. 

Coverage for counselling services is fully dependent on your personal benefit plans. There is no guarantee that counselling services are 100% covered. Please ensure you are getting in touch with your insurance company to determine your coverage before your session. There is no direct billing, however, you will be provided with an invoice that you can use for a claim or reimbursement.

All counselling fees are non-refundable. In the event of a cancellation due to counsellor error, I will reschedule a time that is convenient for both parties.

 If you must cancel an appointment, please notify me no less than 48 hours before your allotted session. 

Sessions with less than a 48 hour notice may be billed at half or full amount of the session fee based off counsellor discretion.

No-shows are charged the full session fee and required to pay before they can book their next session.

Please note I am unable to extend your session time if you arrive late. If you arrive part way through your allotted time, I will see you for the remainder of your appointment time and you will still be charged for the full session.
